Based on over 18 months of ethnographic research in Washington, D.C., Cultures of Foreign Policymaking explores the impact of race, racism, and race-thinking in U.S. diplomatic statecraft in the African region.
Promoting Business Empowerment and Economic Inclusion: A Study for Afro-Colombian Women Entrepreneurs
This study examines the challenges and experiences of Afro-Descendant women in growing small or micro-enterprises in Cali and Cartagena, Colombia. Based on 12 months of ethnographic research with over 30 entrepreneurs, business associations, and other civil society groups, the research seeks to deepen discussion on the nature of institutional support for Black women entrepreneurs.
